These slides provide an outline for a 90 minute workshop exploring mixed-modal curriculum design. It is in three parts:
- A review of the emergence of “blended” learning (within a Uk context) and the various associated narratives relating to stakeholder experience.
- A discussion on the emergence of “modality” as a key consideration and more specifically the development of the SPaM framework as a reference point through which to support curriculum design discussions.
- Putting it into practice – Firstly identifying and agreeing on terminology (and their definitions), secondly thinking more deeply about various modes in the context of curriculum design activity. (Examples included).
